You know when someone's talking...and they're just like talking and talking and talking and you're not listening at all? Doesn't matter if they're talking specifically to you or if you're in a class or whatever, just a time when your ears are seriously not going to let you listen to whatever the crap they're talking about. K so imagine this: you just get up and throw a huge dead fish at their face and it hits them in slow motion and they fall over. And the best part of the whole thing is that the fish makes this really satisfying flop noise as it slaps them in the face. ...don't you wish you could really do that??? I know, I know, I'm very theatrical...I think of amazing stuff like this that would only happen in movies all the time...but seriously...sometimes you just need a dead fish. Maybe I'll start carrying one in my backpack.

Now Walk it Out...
**Drum roll please** .....NEW SHOWER HEADS IN THE TEMPLE!! They're awesome. I was lovin. I went to the temple yesterday morning and they I had a really good day so I'm thinkin I'm gonna do that more.
Also, Joke Time yesterday in my class of 6-year-olds that I teach was so funny. One of my kids, Lexie, told 2 jokes that were seriously hilarious. (The jokes are a lot funnier when you hear their cute little voices and when you actually know the kids' personalities but I honestly get the biggest kick out of their jokes every week because they usually make them up and they don't make any sense.) Joke #1: Why couldn't the dinosaur climb to the top of the tooth? Because of the eye juice. Joke #2: Why couldn't the pig be on the eye? He's a pig! I always laugh really hard at their jokes and then it boosts their self-esteem so I figure it's a win win.

In Case You Wanna Know...
*My friend Andrew left on his mission on Wednesday and I miss him.
*I dislike science in any form.
*I started SYT classes back up again and I'm so glad because my kids make me so happy.
*I honestly have no idea what to major in...and this doesn't mean that I'm asking for your opinion because everyone's is so vastly different that listening to them all gives me anxiety.
*To those of you who said, "Good luck with that class..." in a sarcastic tone: I got an A in American Heritage.
*I overhead a conversation on campus the other day that began with, "I could never marry anyone in Hufflepuff. I'm sorry, I just couldn't do it."
*My floss is missing and I'm pissed about it.
*I'm curently the Ticket to Ride Champion of Chipman Hall.
*I miss my nephew.
*Two of my proffessors this semester say their S's weird.
*Listening to The Beatles makes bad things better.

Distant From Irregular
Okay, okay, okay...it's been way too long. I was enjoying my break okay? My nephew was visiting, cut me some slack.
Christmas was fun, I got a cool leather jacket from my sister and played a lot of Settlers of Catan. My sister and my nephew are visting from Iowa and it's been really fun to have them here. ...Guys. I know everyone says their nephew is the cutest baby ever, but MY NEPHEW IS THE CUTEST BABY EVER. There's some pictures on my facebook from when he visited at Thanksgiving if you want to check them out...which you definately do because my nephew is the cutest baby ever.
Side note: I would definately reccomend the new Sara Bareilles CD to anyone who hasn't listened to it yet. "King of Anything" is just the beginning of its goodness; the whole CD's great.
Probably the highlight of my break was driving to LA with my friends to seen Next to Normal! Britt and Ash found us $20 tickets online so we HAD to go. Me, Brittney, Ashlyn, Thad, and Jake left Orem at 4:30am and drove 9 hours to Los Angeles where we frolicked on the beach for quite some time (in December. Yes it was amazing). Then we drove the the LA temple and took pictures with the help of a 12-year-old couple eating spaghetti on paper plates under the tree where Robert and Laurel's wedding picture was taken. (Too complicated to explain, don't ask.) Then we snuck into a Super 8 Motel and barricaded ourselves in the bathroom so we could get ready for the show. ...People knocked on the door a couple times but we just made barfing noises until they went away. After that we drove to a surprisingly distant pizza place where an extremely unflattering blackmail picture of me was taken and then we drove to...the theater!!!!
For those of you who don't know what Next to Normal is, it's a broadway show that won Best Musical in 2009. None of the members of the original cast are in the show in New York anymore, but we were lucky enough to get to see Alice Ripley (who plays the main character) from the original cast. She won a Tony for her performance in this show and I am here to witness that it was well-deserved. The entire cast was so so SO talented; the show was literally spectacular. One of Brittney's friends, Preston, is in the touring cast that we saw and he was nice enough to introduce us to some of the cast and give us a backstage tour after the show was over. He was a super super nice guy and VERY talented, it was really cool to get to meet him.
After the show, we drove to Laurel's house (my old director) and had brownies and ice cream! We sang a bunch of songs and got to catch up with her, it was really fun. (We left Laurel's at midnight and arrived in Provo at 10:30 in the morning...pretty tough drive but it was worth it!)

Harry Potter!!!
I'm sitting in Phsycial Science class right now and I'm really really bored. Logically, a blog post will result.
Ode to Harry Potter...we all knew this post was coming. Guys. HP. Movie. Coming out. It's going to be amazing, the real question is: can we handle the goodness? Seeing Harry Potter is like going on a mission and we all need to ask ourselves...have we adequately prepared? Are we ready to experice the joy that is Harry Potter?
WARNING: If you haven't read all of the books, do NOT attempt to call yourself a Harry Potter fan around me. I will verbally slaughter you. Don't pretend you're excited for the movie. Don't pretend that you know what a horcrux is. Don't pretend that you love Harry. Some of us have been continuously proving our love for Harry for the past 10+ years...we are Harry Potter fans.

Good Vibrations
My choir concert was way awesome this weekend, thanks to those who came. :)
Doin pretty well in all my classes except Physical Science is kickin my butt...I serioulsy CANNOT pay attention in that class. It feels like science was specifically invented to: 1. Put me to sleep or 2. Make me feel stupid.
I went to the Beach Boys concert on Thursday with my dad. It was WAY awesome, I love me some Beach Boys! Help me Rhonda was out of control. The program said that the Beach Boys haven't missed a summer performing in 40 years! I was feelin bad for them that their regular audiences are old and boring...I was trying to get up and dance but no one was having it.
A word about Star Wars...it's great. All of the episodes are fantastic and I can't pick my favorite one. So many gospel parallels! I just recently re-watched all of them with my friend Andrew and I was lovin. I love the emphasis Star Wars puts on the importance of choices. Like...it doesn't matter what Anakin's intentions or motivations were...the point is that the choices he made led him to evil. And l I still can't get over the epic-ness of the Qui-Gon/Darth Maul light saber fight at the end of Episode I...golden.
